Not every Cuban-American group in South Florida is an ultra-right organization that supports the failed Cuba embargo or the unconstitutional travel ban to the largest island in the Caribbean. There are some organizations that promote dialogue and reconcilliation with their Cuban brothers and that actively lobby Congress to repeal the silly travel ban.
A case in point is "Puentes Cubanos" a non-govermental organization that was founded by Silvia Wilhem, who like myself, left Cuba in 1961.
Visit Cuba Central, read their February News Update, go down to the section titled "Featured Travel Victim" and click on the link "More Travel Victims..." where you will find Silvia's story and the story of many others like Buena Vista Social Club, Ibrahim Ferrer and Carlos Varela, who have been fined and/or denied travel to and from Cuba.
And this coming November, do not vote for any U.S. Senate or House candidate that supports the embargo and/or travel ban to Cuba.
