Cuba: Venue of Festival Boleros de Oro

Havana, May 9 (Prensa Latina) The International Festival "Boleros de Oro" celebrates its 20th anniversary with a new and special edition to be held in various Cuban provinces between June 8 and July 2.

According to Jose Loyola, president of the festival, this edition would be devoted to the 150th anniversary of the great composer Pepe Sanchez and to the 45 years of the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC).

This time the event will take place in the provinces of Villa Clara and Cienfuegos June 8-11, in Sancti Spiritus June 14-17, in Santiago de Cuba, Camaguey and Holguin June 15-18, in Ciudad de la Habana and La Habana June 22-25 and it will finally move to Guantanamo, Moron, Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth between June 29 and July 2.

Participants from Japan, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Spain and Italy will join Cubans in an event that bets once again on the very best of the Latin American and Cuban musical traditions.

Theaters Mella, Astral, America and Karl Marx and the important cultural centers Dos Gardenias, El gato tuerto, Musicalia, La Maison and El Huron Azul will be collateral headquarters.
