On August 3, after learning of the temporary transfer of power in Cuba to Vice-President Raul Castro, President Bush said: "We will support you in your effort to build a transitional government in Cuba committed to democracy, and we will take note of those, in the current Cuban regime, who obstruct your desire for a free Cuba."
We all know what kind of "democracy" and "freedom" Bush wants for Cuba; it is the one promoted by his cronies in Miami. They would seek to turn back history to a pre-1959 Cuba.
I want no part of that project and I will do anything that I can to thwart that interventionist and meddlesome plan. The Cuban people will reject the bullies from the North. They will remain an independent and sovereign nation.
Put me in your list Mr. Bush!
