LA PAZ, Bolivia President Evo Morales made a surprise visit to Cuba early Wednesday to visit his ally Fidel Castro, still recovering from intestinal surgery in July, officials said.
Presidential spokeswoman Ledda Prado said Morales flew to Havana before dawn and planned to return to Bolivia the same evening.
There was no agenda for the trip other than a visit with the Cuban leader, Prado said.
