Angola: Country Delegation Boost Ties With Cuba

An Angolan delegation led by the Public Works minister, Higino Carneiro, visited Cuba on August 23-27, with the aim to boost the bilateral co-operation and study new areas for partnerships, Angop has learnt.

According to a source with the Angolan Embassy in Havana, the team were received in audience by the deputy President of the Cuban Council of State and Ministers, Raul Castro Ruz, as well as by the head of the Africa department of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC)'s central committee, Rodolfo Puente Ferro.

The Angolan delegation also visited Carlos J. Finlay Centre, where they got informed on the development of research works to get a vaccine against cholera.

A meetings with members of the Ministry of Higher Education was also part of the agenda.

At the end of the visit, the national team officials were offered a dinner by the Angolan ambassador to Cuba, Condesse de Carvalho "Toka".
