October 16, 2007
Daisuke Matsuzaka, the Japanese phenom pitcher who defeated Cuba in the final championship game of the 2006 World Baseball Classic and was its MVP, was defeated yesterday by the Cleveland Indians in the American League Championship Series by the score of 4-2.
Dice K lasted only four and two thirds innings and allowed four earned runs. He had six strikeouts and four walks on 101 pitches. He has now a 6.75 ERA in two playoffs appearances. Cleveland currently holds a two game lead in the best of seven series.
I predict Cleveland will win the ALCS and go to the 2007 World Series to face the Colorado Rockies.
