Cuba defeats Germany 7-3 in World Cup baseball

Cuba defeated Germany by 7-3 in their encounter at the baseball diamond of the World Cup.

Yoandry Urgelles had a very good night. He had a home run with two on base on the first inning. On the seventh, he had a triple, accumulating a total of four RBI'S.

Vladimir Baños pitched very well after allowing Germany to score three runs in the bottom of the first inning. He recovered, and did not allow a run during the next six innings.

Cuba had 14 hits in the game. Frederich Cepeda aslo contributed with a triple and an RBI.
