Cuba to play Mexico instead of Panama

Cuba's daily newspaper Granma, in an article under the byline of Sigfredo Barros, has reported today that Cuba will play Mexico tomorrow at 5:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, at the quarter finals of the XXXVII Baseball World Cup being played in Taipei, Taiwan.

Translation: The IBAF confiscated the games that Panama played against Spain and the United States, because it did not pay beforehand the player insurance premiums of their team members who play in the major leagues, and their final balance was 3-4 and was not able to classify as originally reported after they won against South Africa.
