Cuba vs. Canada

At the 37th World Cup being played in Taiwan, Cuba defeated Canada 6-3. Adile Palma started the game and went for three and two thirds innings. Norberto Gonzalez, who came in relief, did an excellent job against the Maple Leaf team. He was the official winner. Pedro Luis Lazo got the save after the Canadians scored two runs on the top of the ninth inning. Like yesterday's game against Germany, the Cuban team had 14 hits. Yulieski Gourriel went two for three with one home run, and Frederich Cepeda went three for four, including a triple. Hector Olivera also contributed with his solo home run.

Stadeo.TV had an excellent live feed of the game.
