MORE PEOPLE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF MIRACLE EYE CARE PROGRAMME.

A growing number of people are said to be making use of the Miracle Eye Care programme.

The programme is now being conducted in Grenada, which means that people no longer have to travel to Cuba for eye care.

It began at the National Stadium almost one month ago.

Information from the Prime Minister’s office reveals that statistics from the program administrator as of last Friday November 9th, 2007, shows 1000 people attended the clinics for varying eye related conditions including Cataract and Glaucoma.

The program administrator says many people are returning for follow up treatment having had their eye related surgery in Cuba last year.

But given the logistical support required for the program all surgeries are being conducted in Grenada.

The program is expected to end in January of 2008.
