The top Cuban-American official in the George W. Bush administration talked about Cuba yesterday. As usual, he got it wrong.
In keeping with his right wing ideology, on which he has been very effectively coached by the current Oval Office occupant, Gutierrez claimed that the Cubans are anti-American.
WRONG!
The Cuban people, to a very large extent, are very friendly toward EVERYONE, and that includes the North-Americans.
What they do not like is the economic war that THE US GOVERNMENT has been waging against the Cuban people for close to 50 years now.
When the Americanos travel to Cuba they are received with friendship and respect.
The problem with Gutierrez, Bush, and the U.S. government is that they would like to return to the times when Batista ruled the island as their puppet. To that the Cuban people, very respectfully say, NO WAY SAM!
