His hatred for the word Socialism is unmistakably clear. His presidential legacy will be debated by many historians, but there are many who are already saying that he tops Richard Nixon and Ulysses S. Grant as the worst president the U.S. has ever had, and on that I agree.
Nine presidents before him tried to destroy the Cuban Revolution. How little they know about history and human events. Transcendental and once in a lifefetime successes can never be stopped with imperial machinations, failed policies or military force.
Cuba today is a truly free and independent nation, having succeeded under Fidel Castro’s leadership in sending U.S. puppet Fulgencio Batista to an ignominious exile and death.
But the American imperialists still dream of restoring their type of “freedom” to the Greater of the Antilles. To them, everything is based on money. People and countries can be bought, since everything has a price.
They are totally baffled when someone or some country chooses social responsibility or an ethical course instead of money.
And so, the imperialists and fellow travelers keep on talking about how great it would be if Cuban’s were to bring “freedom and democracy” – made in USA of course – to the island.
The current president of the U.S. only has hate to offer to the Cuban people. They are not dumb to fall for it. They know what would happen to their national sovereignty and independence. They may be poor, but they are proud and will continue with their chosen path, which is the one thing that the American imperialists will never be able to understand.
