Cuban baseball players request U.S. visas to participate in the Second World Baseball Clasic

Cuba’s National Baseball team, headed by Olympians Pedro Luis Lazo and outfielder Frederich Cepeda, requested from the U.S. on Friday the necessary visas to travel to and participate in the Second Baseball Classsic.

The World Classic will be disputed from March 5th to the 27th and will take place in Japan, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United States.

Cuba will play its first round in Mexico City, and if it advances, will play the second round in San Diego, California, USA.
