Cuba pre-selects 58 players for World Baseball Cup

The World Baseball Cup will be played from September 9 to the 27th, 2009. It will be played in European venues.

Cuba will be represented by a National Selection team composed of 24 players.

Cuba has split those who aspire to represent the Pearl of the Antilles into two teams who will train together before the final 24 are selected.

Here are the two teams:

OCCIDENTALES

Receptores: Eriel Sánchez, Yosvani Peraza y Yaismel Alberro. Cuadro: José Dariel Abreu, Yoandri Garlobo, Rafael Valdés, Ernesto Molinet, Michel Enríquez, Yariel Duque, Roberto Carlos Ramírez, Rudy Reyes y Donal Duarte. Jardineros: Frederich Cepeda, Leonys Martín, Jorge Padrón, Juan Carlos Linares, Ariel Sánchez e Irait Chirino.
