VICTORY: House Passes H.R. 3962!

The United States House of Representatives blocked the attempts of the Grand Obstructionist Party (G.O.P.) to stop much needed legislation which will reform our health care delivery system. Late last night, the U.S. House of Representatives, by a vote of 220-215 approved H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act. One republican legislator, Representative Cao of New Orleans, who replaced corrupt William Jefferson, joined the Democrats in voting for the bill.

This is a great victory for the American people and a great victory for President Barack Obama. Although I strongly oppose his continuation of the failed Cuba embargo, this is a much needed piece of legislation supported by 76% of Americans. Congratulations also to Speaker Pelosi, Charlie Rangel and Henry Waxman for the great job that they did in moving this important legislation through the U.S. House of Representatives.
