On the Cuba issue, there is practically no difference between George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama. I am not the only person who is greatly dissapointed in Obama’s policies toward Cuba. Even a progressive organization like the Huffington Post is dissapointed in him.
“Change you can believe in” was a very catchy slogan when he was campaigning for the presidency. There was no change, only empty rhetoric and vote getting schemes. “A new beginning” with Cuba was another one of Obama’s falsehoods. He has continued the genocidal Cuba embargo/blocakde. He continues to cater to the Miami Mafia.
In the meantime, the economy of the nation continues its downhill spiral. Even in December, when capitalist business ussually hire additional employees for the Christmas holidays, we have seen a further loss of another 85,000 jobs.
And the national debt of the country continues to escalate to the stratosphere, while the top 1% of income earners continue with the excesses of their eccentricities and capitalist frauds and scams.
Obama, unjustly and arbitrarily, continues to keep Cuba in the so-called list of “terrorist” countries. The paranoia continues and increases under him.
What a great dissapointment his first year in office has been. His audacious hope has turned into more of the same failed policies followed by his predecessor. I will not vote for him again.
