While el 'Gusano Herald' continues to print negative news about Cuba, one million tourists flock to Varadero

A popular and very famous Spanish proverb, translated to English, goes something like this: "He who lives based on illusions, will die of disappointments."

Today Cuba celebrates the 51st anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. During the last 51 years the Yankee imperialists, who are professional Cuba haters, have tried just about everything: an invasion by Miami based mercenaries trained, directed and financed by the American C.I.A., internal subversion inside the island, sabotage, bacteriological warfare, a 48 year embargo which is repudiated and condemned every year by the United Nations, mercenaries like Martha Beatriz Roque who called for a direct U.S. Marines invasion of Cuba, and a super ugly "bloguera" who, when a Cuban sneezes, blames Cuban Socialism for it.

And to top it all off, we now have the new emperor elected on November 2008, spouting fake "new beginnings" while sending his well paid and outsourced "contractors" to continue the internal subversion of his predecessor George W. Bush.

So, I was not the least surprised to read yet another article from El Gusano Herald, which proclaims to the world that everything is falling apart inside the Caribbean island. The "journalists" at One Herald Plaza continue to hope that Fulgencio Batista's henchmen, who now spend their time going from The Big Five to the The Big Mac, will one day return to Havana on the shoulders of the new Corporatist American Mafia. They long for the good old days, before 1959.

Very seldom will you read in the Herald about the 16 million Americans who are unemployed, the thousands of veterans who, after returning from Iraq and Afgahnistan, have to sleep on the sidewalks, or the the fact that the new bill passed by the U.S. Senate will continue giving us Corpcare rather than Healthcare.

But there are foreign newspapers who print good news about Cuba. For that you will have to go to Xinhua of the People's Republic of China.
