Brazil's President Inacio Lula da Silva, during his visit to Havana demanded today that Barack Obama lift the economic and commercial emabargo of Cuba. Lula declared that the embargo does not have any reason to exist. The news was reported by the official daily newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Granma.
JG: Barack Obama has shown to the world that, when it comes to Cuba, he can be as arrogant as his predecessor, George W. Bush. When a democratic vote takes place at the General Assembly of the United Nations, and the Cuba embargo is overwhelmingly condemned by a vote of 187-3, Barack Obama, like his predecessor, sticks his head in the sand. The Yankee imperialists have never liked the United Nations. The U.S. imperialists are drunk with power and love "might makes right" policies.
What a great disssapointment Barack Obama has been in regards to the Cuba issue. His so-called "new beginning" with Cuba was nothing but a huge con job. Hes has proven that he is nothing but a typically arrogant American politician. Say anything to get to the White Hiouse.
The big problem is that the GOP policies would be worse than Obama's, so we are stuck with him based on the perennial "lesser of two evils." I will vote for a minor party candidate for president in 2012.
