Could Radio and TV Marti end soon?

The Miami right wingers are extremely worried. Since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, the capitalist goverment of the United States has spent untold millions of taxpayer's money on their anti-Cuba progaganda broadcasts based on Radio and T.V. Marti. Very few people listen to these broadcasts inside the island.

Today, the mouthpiece of the South Florida right wingers, The Gusano Herald, has reported that some of the resources of Radio and T.V. Marti will be shared with The Voice of America, which although it is also strongly anti-Cuba, has higher levels of ethical broadcasting standards.

There have been recent moves in the United States Congress to end all the broadcasts of the Welfare Department of the Miami Cuban-American right wingers.

La Loba Feroz, a.k.a. U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, said that "if this [sharing of resources] reduces the capability of Radio and TV Marti, it would be another concession to the Cuban regime [by Barack Obama's administration.]

U.S. Representative Jeff Flake declared that "I think they [the right wingers] realize they're on borrowed time with the Cuba project."

I say pull the plug on both Radio and T.V. Marti. They are an insult to the memory of Cuba's Apostle of Independence.
