It is the United States who is intransigent. It is the United States government of Barack H. Obama who wants to keep the current state of warfare with Cuba. His 'new beginning' with Cuba is nothing but a huge fraud and scam. Hillary and Barack are not smart enough to reintroduce FDR's 'Good Neighbor Policy'. Why? Because they are arrogant and display the typical traits of an empire: might makes right.
Things are not going very well in the United States since Obama assumed office on January 20 of 2009. Although I give him credit for the health care reform recently passed by Congress, his administration is more interested in confrontation than carrying out the “change you can believe in” that he promised as a presidential candidate. He comes across as too professorial, a person who constantly gives lectures to people who do not want to listen to his ill timed messages. He is not a re-conciliator. He displays all the traits of an aggressor bully.
On the Cuba issue he has chosen to continue supporting and enforcing the favorite policy of the Miami extremists, the Cuba embargo. When ultra-right-wingers start supporting the chief executive, you have to start doubting his real intentions.
My take of the situation is that Barack Obama will become another mediocre president like Bill Clinton.
On the fiscal side, Barack Obama continues to accumulate huge mountains of debts which ultimately may lead to the bankruptcy of the United States. What is happening in Greece could very well happen here. People could stop lending money to the United States. Economic catastrophe would follow.
If Cuba wants to continue being a sovereign and independent state, they must continue to resist the policies of Barack H. Obama and his Rasputin at Foggy Bottom. Listen Barack: the times before January 1, 1959, will not return to Cuba. Stop the hyperbole and hypocrisy of human rights!
