The Cuba embargo has been going on now for very close to fifty years. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to realize that its original aim and intention, the overthrow of the Cuban government and the starvation of the Cuban people into submission, has not been accomplished.
George W. Bush was fanatically anti-Cuba. He even went as far as creating a “Commission for a Free Cuba” and named a military governor who would rule Cuba after “freedom” returned to the island. He can be excused for his excesses. Dubbya was as dumb as people come. Many regard him as the worst U.S. president ever.
Enter now Barack H. Obama. He came across as a very intelligent person when he campaigned for the White House, and yet he continues to support the Cuba embargo.
Popular wisdom states that “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Do we have a sane person in the White House right now, in regards to the Cuba embargo?
