Right-wing Human Events has published an interview with the presumed nominee of the GOP for the U.S. Senate seat from the state of Florida, Marco Rubio.
It does reveal anything new about his political philosophy. The GOP in the state of Florida is a party that has been effectively taken over by political extremists and religious fanatics, like the Tea Baggers.
Sounding very much like the mythological parrot of “Polly Wants a Cracker” Rubio gives us his tired political rhetoric such as: “When Cuba joins the rest of the civilized world in how it treats its people, [we will lift the Cuba economic embargo]. That is freeing political prisoners, it means free and fair elections.”
Miami right wing extremists, which by and large are the political supporters of former General Fulgencio Batista living in exile, have been giving us this hyperbole during the last 51 years. The score is Cuba, 51, Miami extremists, 0.
The Cuban people, in my opinion, do not wish to go back to the political elections of Grau, Prio and Batista, and certainly do not want the money-democracy of the United States where, save for FDR and Lincoln, we have never had a president who served the interests of the people. They serve the interests of big capital.
Marco Rubio and Kendrick Meek take the dirty cash of Miami based U.S.-Cuba Democracy PAC. I will never vote for them. Will I vote for Charlie Crist? I don't know, but he would do less harm than the other two in the U.S. Senate.
