Your article in today's Wall Stree Journal titled Why Lift the Travel Ban to Cuba Now? is the typical propaganda of the mouthpiece of American hyper-capitalism, which by the way, is a system that is not working very well right now.
Insanity has been defined by a learned person as continuing to do the same thing and expecting to get a different result.
The Cuba embargo is a huge policy failure carried out by eleven U.S. presidents. It has not accomplished its original objective of overthrowing Cuba's native brand of Socialism. To begin with, the U.S. has no right to tell the Cuban people what kind of system they are supposed to have. Secondly, the Cuba embargo has been condemned by every civilized country in the world by a vote 184-3 at the United Nations General Assembly, where the U.S. has no veto power. Only genocidal Israel voted with their paymasters, and also major "world power" Palau.
The Cuban people will continue to defend their sovereignty and national independence. They will not accept any impositions or mandates from Bush, Obama, or the US. Congress.
Passing H.R. 4645 is a step in the right direction toward restoring FDR's Good Neighbor policy.
In the meantime, please continue banging your head against the wall. You will accomplish NOTHING!
