Haarlem 2010: Cuba defeats USA 7-4

In the second game of Team Cuba at the Haarlem 2010 Baseball Tournament, which is being played in the Netherlands, the criollos defeated Team USA by the score 7-4.

The starting pitcher for Cuba was Maikel Folch. He went four and two thirds innings, allowing four runs, all of them earned. He struck out three batters and gave two bases on balls. Maikel was relieved by Yoandry Portal, who pitched four innings. He did not allow any runs, and USA was only able to connect two hits against him. Yoandry struck out five batters and gave three bases on ball. He was the winner of the game.

Team Cuba collected eleven hits. USA connected seven hits. Danel Castro went three for four and Donal Duarte went three for five.

Again, there were no home runs by team Cuba.

Cuba will play Chinese Taipei tomorrow.
