The Giant from Pinar del Rio is retiring this year. He has accumulated 257 victories in 20 years, and is Cuba's pitcher with the most wins. Add to that 29 victories in the play-offs, where he pitched 402.2 innings and struck out 311. He had 2,426 strikeouts during his career.
