Sixteen were defeated in their re-election bids to the U.S. House of Representatives:
Michael Arcuri, Melissa Bean, Allen Boyd, Christopher Carney, Chet Edwards, Brad Ellsworth, Phil Hare, Ron Klein, Jim Marshall, Harry Mitchell, Patrick Murphy, John Salazar, Ike Skelton, Zachary Space, John Spratt, Charles Wilson.
Three were defeated in their attempt to be promoted to the U.S. Senate:
Kendrick Meek, Charlie Melancon, Joe Sestak.
