Cuba sues Michigan company
American capitalism loves fakes and fake products. Heck, a capitalist will do anything to make a fast buck, and embracing fakes is always in vogue with bona-fide capitalist who have no scruples, ethics or morals, and are always motivated purely by plain vanilla capitalist greed.
First, it was Bacardi with its fake Havana Club brand. Rum connoisseurs around the world know that Havana Club is the name of the only truly genuine Cuban rum. The fake rum that Bacardi peddles is produced in the Bahamas or in Puerto Rico, an American colony.
And then came Barack Obama, the ultimate fake politician, who has used the Bill Clinton model.
An now, in Michigan there is a another fake "Cuban" product. It is called La Casa De la Habana, which is almost the same as Havana's famed La Casa del Habano. Again, real cigar connoisseurs know that the real Casa and the real Cuban cigar is in Havana and not in Michigan.
So, Cuba is suing the Michigan company, according to a KSRO article titled "Cuba's tobacco company sues Mich. shop over name."
