How the U.S. government employed state terrorism against Cuba during the Clinton administration in 1997

The Cuban American National Foundation (CANF) is not an independent U.S. organization. It was created by the administration of president Ronald Reagan, shortly after 1980, to try to overthrow the Cuban government.

In 1997, during the administration of Bill Clinton, the United States government unleashed a campaign of state terrorism against Cuba. The terrorist campaign was assigned by the CIA to CANF. That organization contracted with Luis Posada Carriles to carry out a bombing campaign against Cuban hotels in Havana on that year.

Today, under the administration of Barack H. Obama, that international terrorist continues to receive refuge and protection by the United States government. It has never condemned the activities of its terrorist agent, and currently it is conducting a federal trial against that monster for only being a liar.

The hypocrisy of the United States government, when it states that it fights and is against terrorist activities is all too apparent. When the terrorism is conducted by Al Qaeda it is bad. When it is conducted by the United States government it is good.

Three days ago, in its popular TV Round Table program, Cuba exposed the actions of the United States government in directing and conducting terrorist activities against Cuba. To read the Spanish transcript of the program click here.
