Jose Dariel's current stats in his pursuit of the Triple Crown in Cuba's 50th National Baseball Series are as follow:
Batting Average: .446
Home Runs: 15
RBI's: 45
Only two Cubans have ever captured the Triple Crown: Orestes Kindelán did it in the 1988-1989 season: .402 batting average, 24 home runs, 58 RBI's. Omar Linares did it in the Serie Selectiva of 1992: .398 batting average, 23 home runs and 58 RBI's.
He also has a good chance of being Cuba's third member of the elite 100/30 Club. 30 or more home runs and 100 or more RBI's.
