Posada Carriles lawyer suffers first defeat

At the trial of Luis Posada Carriles being held in El Paso, Texas, the presiding judge, Kathleen Cardone, did not allow the defense attorney for Cuban terrorist Luis Posada Carriles to argue that the Cuban government often falsifies evidence. That is merely the defense attorney's opinion and not a relevant fact at the trial.

Posada Carriles is being judged for being a liar and not for being a terrorist.

Cardone also appeared to limit Hernandez's ability to challenge the motivation of U.S. immigration officials who questioned Posada in El Paso in 2005 and 2006 about his U.S. entry.
