Reactions to easing travel to Cuba
JG: It is a very good and commendable thing to make it possible for more Americans to travel to Cuba, so president Barack Obama should be applauded for the new measures that he announced yesterday. But why is it so hard for him to admit that the Cuba embargo is a huge failure? Cuba's government is not perfect, but who are we to go into other countries to tell them what kind of system they should have?
Why can't Barack Obama accept the 187-3 vote against the U.S. embargo of Cuba at the United Nations General Assembly? Cuba is not a threat to the U.S. What is the U.S. government so afraid of?
The fact of the matter is that in U.S. politics money talks, and too many politicians in the Democratic and Republican parties are still enamored to the big cash of the Miami Fulgencio Batista supporters.
