UPDATE: Cuba's 2011 All Stars Baseball Game

The connexion of Cubavision Internacional, through an outfit called XINE is not working, at least in my computer.

2:41 p.m.: FCBA reports that the score was 1-0 in favor of the Orientales, on the top of the second inning.

2:51 p.m.: Bottom of the second inning. The Orientales increased their lead to 4-0. The 'play-by-play' of FCBA is not working either.

The BoxScore is working. Orientales have four runs on three hits. Occidentales have zero runs on one hit.

Freddy Asiel Alvarez is pitching for the Orientales, and Norberto Gonzalez is pitching for the Occidentales.

3:08 p.m.: Orientales lead 5-0, bottom of the fourth inning.

Yoelvis Fiss had a home run in the third inning for the Orientales.

3:34 p.m. The game is tied 5-5. Bottom of the fourth inning. The Occidentales strike back! Yasiel Puig had a home run on the fourth, with two runners on base.

4:25 p.m.: Top of the seventh inning: Orientales 6, Occidentales 5.

4:30 p.m.: Top of the eight inning. The game is tied again, 8-8. What a game!

Lorenzo Quintana and Ariel Sanchez homered for the Occidentales in the seventh inning.

4:45 p.m.: The ninth inning is starting. The game is still tied 8-8. I hope that they don't have to use the stupid Schiller rule. Fake runners and fake runs would then decide the All Stars Game.

5:07 p.m. The 10th inning started. The BoxScore does not say if they are using the Schiller rule.

The Orientales scored three runs in the top of the tenth inning. One can only speculate that they were using the Schiller rule. A totally wasted game!

Goodbye. I will not report any further on this game.
