CUBAN-AMERICAN COMMISSION FOR FAMILY RIGHTS
Wednesday, 13 July 2011 19:57
TAKE ACTION!
YOUR FLIGHTS TO CUBA TO VISIT FAMILY MEMBERS ARE CLOSE TO BEING SUSPENDED. DIAZ-BALART AND OTHERS WOULD LIKE TO RETURN TO THE W. BUSH ERA.
U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart has presented an Amendment in Congress that again would limit travel and remittances to family members in Cuba.
We know that a majority of Cuban Americans support open travel. More than 300,000, in fact, traveled last year to the island.
We asked that you contact the President and let him know that you are AGAINST the Diaz-Balart Amendment and are in favor of all things that will united the Cuban family. If you agree, we’ve included a letter that you may copy and send to the President. Or, you may want to write your own.
Please send your letter to: President Barack Obama, The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20500. You can also fax your letter to: (202) 456-2461. Or you may want to call the White House with your commentaries at: (202) 456-1111.
Please don’t forget to register to vote, and make sure you vote in ALL elections. Your vote is your voice!

JG: This is the email that Cuba Journal sent to President Obama today:
I support and applaud your threatened veto over Cuba travel and remittances, in regards to an amendment offered by U.S. Rep. Diaz-Balart, but you also need to request that the U.S. Congress REMOVE the blockade/embargo against the Cuban people.
