What has $150 million dollars to promote "democracy" in Cuba accomplished?
Desmond Butler of the Associated Press published an article 23 hour ago about the promotion of democracy in Cuba.
In the article he quotes U.S. Senator John Kerry as saying that these programs cost the American taxpayer $150 million dollars.
My opinion:
1) The Cuban people do not seem to care about the so-called "democracy" that Uncle Sam is trying to promote in the island, because they know very well that during the era 1952-1958, El Tio Sam supported a ruthless, corrupt and bloddy dictator in the island named Fulgencio Batista. At the same time, Uncle Sam was protecting and promoting another "democrat," Anastasio Somoza, in Nicaragua. That is the type of democracy that Uncle Sam "loves."
2) The $150 million dollars ended up in Miami to buy yachts, mansions and paid for payola to the supporters of Batista who live now in that cesspool of a city.
