I have written about this before. You may have read it in one of my posts.
I live in Central Florida in a building that is owned by two mainstream U.S. churches: Episcopal & Catholic.
They own a 16 story apartment building in Central Florida which has 199 rental units. The two churches use a company called SPM to manage this Senior rental apartment building. When I asked them once what the S stood for, they informed me that the S stands, well, just for S.
As you know, the United States has a superb secular constitution, since we are not a theocracy. Churches DO NOT rule our country. The first ten amendments to our constitution are proudly referred to as our Bill of Rights.
These two churches and their associate, SPM, consistently violate the civil liberties of U.S. citizens.
They have two computers in their tiny library. They are connected to the Internet. They also have WiFi in the ground floor lobby of the building.
They consistently block people from accessing blogs, which many consider as a lawful extension of journalistic activities.
Here is a partial list of websites that are blocked consistently.
Fidel Castro — speaking out for the first time since President Obama’s historic visit to Cuba — blasted the US leader for trying to meddle in his country’s affairs.
In a letter titled “Brother Obama” and published Monday in El Granma, the official state newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party, the island nation’s former president scoffed, “We don’t need the empire to give us any presents.”
JG: @ 12:39 pm today the live "feed" says: for AP clients only. It appears that this is just a bunch of greedy capitalists who are trying to make a fast buck from the Obama visit to Cuba. I am not surprised at all! Maybe we should skip it!
Las actividades del presidente de Estados Unidos incluyen homenaje al Héroe Nacional cubano, asistencia a un foro empresarial y las conversaciones oficiales con su anfitrión Raúl Castro Enlace para el ariculo de Juventud Rebelde
JG: In my opinion, Bernie Sanders should consider an 'alliance' with the Green Party at the appropriate time. The capitalist Democratic Party is not likely to nominate an Independent Socialist for the office of President of the U.S.
The amount involved in the dispute is extremely small. That is beyond the point that I am trying to make.
The fact is that there is a yuge amount of capitalist financial fraud on the Internet. BEWARE!
In Feb 2016 I gave a small amount donation to an wannabe politician in South Florida. He is a Democrat. It was a one time ONLY donation.
In March, both Pay Pal and Act Blue, processed my 'one time only' donation a second time, I did not authorize that transaction. In my opinion, it is a FRAUD transaction on the part of Act Blue & Pay Pal.
I will not, in the future, patronize either Act Blue or Pay Pal.
I want to publicly thank you and give
you credit for trying to help in the restoration of normal diplomatic
and economic relations between the United States and the Republic of
Cuba, our neighbor to the south, a country where I was born.
I want to request from you to be more
intellectually forceful with the United States Congress as it
continues to enforce the unfortunate and evil language of the
Helms-Burton Act, which was signed into law by one of your
predecessors, Bill Clinton. I wish that Mr. Clinton had not gotten
into bed with U.S. Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC), who was one of the
most racist senators in the history of the U.S. Senate. Mr. Helms was
also fanatically anti-communist.
You should remind the U.S. Congress
193 nations, including all of our
NATO allies, have condemned the Cuba embargo at the General Assembly
of the United Nations, where no nation has veto power. This
repudiation of the Cuba embargo has been done for the last 25
Continue to use your very strong
executive powers to circumvent the Cuba embargo.
Upwards of two thirds of the
American people have expressed their opinion that the Cuba embargo
should be repealed. Even Cuban-Americans in reactionary Miami-Dade,
Florida agree that it is time to repeal the Cuba embargo.
You must have the courage to more
positively pressure the U.S. Congress on this very important issue.
We are no longer living in
February 1996, when Cuba had to correctly shut down two small planes
which were violating its airspace and national sovereignty. The
planes flew from Florida.
HAVANA TIMES — The US Treasury Dept. will allow US citizens to travel to Cuba as individuals, avoiding the need for group travel, reports Reuters news agency this morning.
Starting this fall several US airlines will be offering regular flights to Havana and several other Cuban cities. Tickets will be available online like other normal flights.

The European Union and Cuba inked an agreement on Friday to normalize relations, paving the way for the 28-member bloc to establish full economic cooperation and aid with the Communist-run Caribbean island.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez witnessed the signing of the pact at a ceremony in Havana along with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
“This is a historic day for bilateral relations,” Mogherini said.
The deal, which comes amid Cuba’s thawing ties with the United States, must now be ratified by the governments of the EU bloc and Cuba.
The accord establishes an ongoing political dialogue and sets parameters for commerce and aid, replacing a unilateral policy imposed by Europe 20 years ago that angered Cuba by pushing for changes to its one-party political system.
Many Bernie Clubs are being established in Florida.
Conservative Polk County does have progressives, so one club was born in a 16 story Seniors Building in Winter Haven.
I received a Tweet last night informing me that one Bernie Club operates in Hernando County.
There may be more. New reports? Just post a comment in this post.
Floridians will hold their Presidential Preference Primary on March 15, six days away.
This blog recommended a vote for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. Do not let yourself be scared by the fear-mongers. Bernie Sanders is a Democratic Socialist. He represents the desires of the Working Class, not the Millionaires and Billionaires.
The election was very close, but in the end Bernie had a 20,0000 margin of victory in votes.
Hillary can win in the bigoted South, but in the Industrial Mid-West she fell short. Her wrongful comment that Sanders had voted against the Auto Industry bailout did not fool the voters.
In major polls Hillary does not do very well in the 'honesty' area.
It would be a major mistake for the Democratic Party to nominate her, because only Senator Sanders can beat bigoted Donald Trump.
Here is the New York Times report:
Senator Bernie Sanders scored an upset win in the Michigan Democratic primary, threatening to prolong a Democratic campaign that Hillary Clinton appeared to have all but locked up last week.
Mrs. Clinton lost badly in Michigan among independents, showed continued weakness with working-class white Democrats, and was unable to count on as much of an advantage with black voters as she had in the South.
Addressing reporters in Miami while the votes in Michigan were still being counted, Mr. Sanders said that his powerful showing indicated that “the political revolution that we’re talking about is strong in every part of the country.”

VATICAN CITY, Holy See (AFP) — Pope Francis Wednesday issued a stinging rebuke to rich patrons who offer the Church dirty money gained through exploitation, telling them to take back their cheques and burn them.
"I think of some benefactors of the Church that say 'take this offer for the Church', and it is profit from the blood of those abused, treated as slaves, workers with poorly paid jobs," he told the faithful on Saint Peter's Square.
"I say to these people: 'Please, take back your cheque, burn it'. The people of God, the Church, does not need dirty money," he said at the end of his weekly general audience at the Vatican.
The Argentine has repeatedly denounced those who profit from slavery, corruption or exploitation, including several heated attacks on the mafia, from Italy to Mexico.
