Mark Twain on the Stars and Stripes

As quoted by Gore Vidal, in an interview given to Juventud Rebelde, Cuba's daily youth newspaper, on 17 December 2006.

"The stars and stripes of the northamerican flag should be replaced by the symbol of Jolly Roger, the skull over two crossed tibias. We take death everywhere we go."

Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Vietnam, Iraq.
