The Race in Texas (The Hill, PPP)

Biden; 47%

Trump 46%.

The Lone Star State is one of several battleground states Democrats are hoping to flip in November.

Trump is in big trouble. But it is still very early. A lot can happen between now and November 3rd.

Biden campaign seeks to let Sanders keep his delegates in unusual move

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/493454-biden-campaign-seeks-to-let-sanders-keep-his-delegates-in-unusual-move

Joe Biden is allowing Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to keep the delegates his presidential campaign has won thus far as the former vice president works to avoid dividing the Democratic Party’s base.

Sanders, who suspended his presidential campaign last week, would normally be forced to forfeit a third of the delegates he’s garnered to Biden under a strict interpretation of Democratic Party rules.

However, behind-the-scenes negotiations have been ongoing between the Biden and Sanders campaigns to allow the Vermont lawmaker to keep his delegates as a gesture of goodwill, though it is still not settled how many Sanders would be able to keep.

Democrats want to drop Joe Biden for Andrew Cuomo, poll finds

https://nypost.com/2020/04/10/democrats-want-to-drop-joe-biden-for-andrew-cuomo-poll-finds/

Hispanic voters, young people, women and self-identified liberals are most likely to favor dumping the former vice president for Cuomo.

Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders

Joseph R. Biden Jr. took some of his first steps to bring together the Democratic Party now that he is its presumptive presidential nominee, announcing proposals on Thursday to lower the eligibility age for Medicare to 60 and to expand student debt forgiveness programs for low-income and middle-class families.

The proposals are part of an explicit effort to appeal to the progressive wing of the party led by Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who dropped out of the race on Wednesday.

“Senator Sanders and his supporters can take pride in their work in laying the groundwork for these ideas,” Mr. Biden, the former vice president, said in a statement announcing the package.

Top Sanders aides had been intensifying talks with the Biden campaign in recent days to find common ground on policies. The Biden team’s willingness to move in Mr. Sanders’s direction was a key factor in the senator’s decision to exit the race.

What I expect Cuba to say if I want to visit my relatives in Havana at the end of 2020.

"You are coming from a country that has thousands of covid-19 cases. You will be quarantined for 14 days."

I will most likely not visit my family this year. It would not be a fun vacation.

'Not Done Yet': Bernie Sanders Campaign Mobilizes Donors for Coronavirus Relief and Raises $2 Million

Sen. Bernie Sanders' for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination campaign's prodigious fundraising operation raised $2 million for charities helping those most affected by the coronavirus outbreak crisis in the last 48 hours in a move that supporters said exemplified the message of solidarity the Vermont lawmaker has run on.

"Bernie Sanders supporters have contributed more than $2 million in 2 days to charities helping people whose lives have been impacted by the coronavirus," tweeted political strategist Tim Tagaris. "Not done yet."

VOTE

Saturday, March 07, 2020

It is very obvious.

The presidential race in the Democratic Party will be between Biden and Sanders. I prefer Sanders, but I will support the nominee and the Democratic Party.

Under no circumstances will I vote for Donald Trump. He is nasty, dishonest and a liar. He constantly insults people. And his Cuba policies are aligned with those of the Miami Fascists.
